The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torres gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Aoki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Torres wants to get back to his feet but Aoki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Aoki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Aoki is looking to work some ground and pound but Torres has wrist control.

Torres wriggles free and stands up.
Horrible takedown by Aoki or perhaps it was just good defense by Torres which made him look bad.
Miguel Torres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki tries for a takedown but Torres sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Torres throws a series of punches but Aoki avoids them all with ease.
Aoki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Torres's waist but Torres gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aoki off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinya Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Torres takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Decent striking displayed by Torres there.
Torres cracks Aoki with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Torres closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Aoki is rocked!
Torres drops Aoki with a huge uppercut! Aoki drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Torres is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
