PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dario Filcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filcic has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Max Power told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filcic has a takedown stuffed.
Filcic is breathing heavily.

Power changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Filcic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Filcic is not content to let Power control the position.
Filcic being controlled for a moment.
Power working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Power creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Power really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Filcic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Filcic stops Power from passing to mount.
Power is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Filcic will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Power wants to lay and pray for a moment but Filcic keeps working.

Power decides to stand up, so the ref orders Filcic to his feet.

Power closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Filcic to the mat! Filcic manages to get full guard.

Power drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Power jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Power decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Filcic, up you get!

Well Power has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
