Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Hornie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hornie looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Hornie gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Marsh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hornie walks away with a smile on his face. Marsh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Marsh working for a triangle but Hornie defends it easily.

Marsh had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hornie defends it easily.
Marsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Marsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hornie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marsh looking to sit in guard and control but Hornie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hornie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marsh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marsh has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marsh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsh stands up from Hornie's guard - Marsh perhaps looking for a knockout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Marsh scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That was a close round but I would say that Roy Hornie will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Marsh stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marsh wants it to stay on the feet.

Hornie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Marsh!

Hornie has control of Marsh's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Marsh regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Marsh tries to hold on but Hornie pushes him away.

Hornie gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Marsh throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Marsh stuffs the takedown.

Marsh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hornie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hornie is looking for a sweep.

Marsh decides to stand back up.

Marsh has taken the fight to the clinch.
Marsh just leaning against Hornie, taking a breather.

Hornie wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marsh has him pressed against the cage.

and Marsh counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hornie passes into side control, despite Marsh's attempt to control the position.

Marsh manages to get back to half guard.

Ray Marsh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Roy Hornie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hornie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
