PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albert Steller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Steller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Logan Walker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Walker was well out of range. Poor timing from Steller.
Steller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Steller thuds his right hand into Walker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Steller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steller.
Steller lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steller.
Steller cracks Walker with an open hand slap.

Walker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Steller sprawls well initially but Walker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Steller still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Steller has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Steller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walker keeps working.
Walker is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Steller wants to stand but Walker has his arm trapped.
Steller looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Walker is avoiding damage well.
Walker sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Steller lands a nice short elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steller throwing shots but Walker is blocking nicely.

Walker tries to roll over but Steller keeps him under control.
Steller wants to stand up but Walker has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Walker is pressing down on Steller's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Walker seems keen to control Steller's posture.
Steller stands up over Walker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Steller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Walker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walker looks gassed!
Steller lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Steller wants to stand but Walker is controlling his posture from full guard.
Walker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Steller has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Walker is proving hard to escape from.

Walker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Walker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Steller manages to get himself to full guard.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Steller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Steller is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him.
Walker passes Steller's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Still in half guard, Walker seems content to control.

Walker is looking for a kimura here.

Walker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Steller is defending against the submission attempts here by Walker.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Albert Steller will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Walker drives through with a takedown into guard.
Steller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Walker looking to sit in guard and control but Steller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Steller wants to stand but Walker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Steller has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Steller avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steller is sitting in close to Walker's body. Walker has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Steller is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Steller is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Walker.
