The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim fails to land with a series of punches.

Kim shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Strothers trying to hold on to Kim's head to control him but Kim postures up.
Kim is keen to just control but Strothers is a slippery customer.
Strothers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kim throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Strothers is refusing to be controlled, as Kim sits in half guard.
Kim missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Kim is looking for a kimura here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kim trying to control from half guard but Strothers is working away.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kim stalks Strothers and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Strothers's face. Strothers staggers backwards, shaken.

Strothers makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Strothers.
Kim is looking to stand up but Strothers won't let him.

Kim has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Strothers to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kim is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Strothers pulls down on the head and he's put Kim to sleep! This one is all over!
