Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gynther Gail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Kovas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovas has chosen Bankrobber by The Clash as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gail looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

That's time! Gail's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kovas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gail throws a shot from downtown. Kovas moves away and avoids it.
Kovas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gail closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kovas did well to prevent Gail getting side control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gail lands a nice short elbow.

Gail thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gail is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kovas is just riding it out for now. Gail eventually gives up the hold.

Kovas wants to sweep here but Gail controlling him for the moment.

Gail moves into range and connects with a jab.
Gail shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kovas but Kovas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gynther Gail. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kovas throws a right hand that Gail ducks under and follows up with a left that Gail also avoids with ease.
A lazy left from Kovas finds it's target.
Kovas lands with a shot to the body.
Kovas lands a left and a right that send Gail crashing to the mat, dazed. Kovas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gail is rocked!
Kovas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kovas thuds a left hand into Gail's body.
Kovas dances in with a quick combination. Gail is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Kovas snaps Gail's head back. Gail stumbles backwards against the cage. Kovas steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Gail's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Gail just didn't come prepared.
