And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Fridge!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Fridge with that takedown attempt.
Gambatesa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gambatesa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fridge.
Gambo Gambatesa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Fridge.
Fridge looks gassed!
Fridge shoots for a double leg takedown but Gambatesa sprawls well. He's pushed Fridge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gambatesa closes the distance and clinches up with Fridge, looking for a takedown. Gambatesa pushes Fridge against the cage but Fridge circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fridge misses with a takedown attempt
and Fridge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

A jab-cross combination lands for Gambatesa and sends Fridge crashing to the mat! Gambatesa follows him down to the mat - Fridge regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Fridge is rocked!

It looks like The Fridge has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fridge is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gambatesa pulls his head out easily.
Gambatesa works his way into full mount!
Fridge is working to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Fridge is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gambatesa has taken his back.

Gambatesa is working for a rear naked choke. Fridge is not defending it well and Gambatesa has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Fridge refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Fridge's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
