Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rageface Muffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Valentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muffin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Valentino.
Valentino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Valentino tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Muffin swivels and escapes.
Muffin misses with a few strikes there.
Valentino fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Muffin avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You get the feeling that Muffin really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Muffin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Valentino lands a big shot there that rocks Muffin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Valentino cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Valentino is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Muffin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Muffin shrugs it off.
You get the feeling that Muffin really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Valentino wants to finish this one by submission but Muffin is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Valentino.

Valentino swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Muffin is now in Valentino's guard. A big mistake from Valentino there, giving up the dominant position!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Valentino shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Muffin pinned against the cage. Muffin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Muffin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Muffin pushes Valentino back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Muffin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rageface Muffin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Valentino shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Muffin sprawls well. Muffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Valentino gets slowly back to his feet.

Valentino might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Muffin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rageface Muffin.
I think Valentino has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
