The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobolev misses the jab.
Spitler looks to land a right hand but Sobolev moved out of range.
Sobolev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spitler's waist but Spitler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sobolev off to one side.
Spitler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spitler wants it to stay on the feet.
Josh Spitler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sobolev shoots in for a double leg but Spitler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Spitler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sobolev on the side of the head.

Spitler bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sobolev's head backwards.

Sobolev is trying desperately to land a takedown but Spitler is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sobolev.
Spitler lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
