Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bimbo Slide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox has chosen Cant Be Touched by Roy Jones Jr. as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Fox!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox closes the distance and clinches up with Slide, looking for a takedown. Fox pushes Slide against the cage but Slide circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Slide rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Slide stuffs the takedown attempt from Fox. Fox gets slowly back to his feet.
Fox pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Slide blocks a jab.
An inside leg kick lands from Slide.
Fox just misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slide rushes Fox and presses him up against the cage.
Fox is looking to break free of the clinch but Slide has double underhooks.

Slide's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fox misses with a hook.

The fight stays on the outside here - Slide looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Slide will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Slide seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fox for as long as he can get away with.
Fox wants to control but Slide is having none of it.

Fox throws a shot from downtown. Slide moves away and avoids it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Slide lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fox's sensitive parts.

Slide throws a nice looking combination but Fox bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Slide shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fox but Fox pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Slide throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

It looks like Bimbo Slide has been cut.

and Slide connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Slide dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fox. That did some damage!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fox checks a leg kick.

Slide uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fox.
Fox ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slide moves away.
Fox throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Slide sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bimbo Slide is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Slide lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fox walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Slide checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Slide uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fox.
Slide blocks a jab.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Fox counters by moving into the clinch.
Fox has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

It looks like Brian Fox has been cut.

Slide's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fox throws a solid leg kick but Slide takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Fox.

and Fox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slide stalks Fox and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fox's face. Fox staggers backwards, shaken.

Slide moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Fox misses with a straight left.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fox.
Fox looks to land a left hand but Slide moved out of range nicely.
Fox throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Slide throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fox.
Slide swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Fox counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slide manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Bimbo Slide is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Fox pushes Slide off looking to stand but Slide dives back in and keeps control.

Slide wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fox keeps working.
Slide content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Slide stands up and beckons Fox to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Slide counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Slide swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
