PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felix Pomfrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlie Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phelps is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dixie. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps shoots in but Pomfrey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pomfrey stuffs the takedown.
Phelps shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pomfrey pinned against the cage. Pomfrey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Felix Pomfrey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlie Phelps.
Phelps is looking to clinch but Pomfrey is avoiding it.

Pomfrey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pomfrey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pomfrey moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Phelps has worked his arm free - good work by Phelps!

Phelps jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pomfrey is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pomfrey and Phelps has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
