PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mkat Twilight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitali Pfeifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vitali Pfeifer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Twilight moves into the clinch successfully.
Twilight keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pfeifer's efforts to push away.

Twilight manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Twilight wants to sweep here but Pfeifer controlling him for the moment.
Twilight is pulling down on Pfeifer's head. It's preventing any offense from Pfeifer, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pfeifer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Twilight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Twilight wants to hit a switch here but Pfeifer passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Twilight there!

Twilight is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pfeifer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mkat Twilight will probably get the nod.

Twilight shoots in but Pfeifer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Twilight wants to clinch up but Pfeifer keeps it at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Twilight is looking to clinch but Pfeifer is avoiding it.
Pfeifer throws a shot to the body.
Pfeifer jabs Twilight right on the nose. Twilight blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Mkat Twilight has been cut.
Twilight fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pfeifer keeps the fight on the outside.
Twilight tries to clinch up.
Twilight slips under a jab.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pfeifer connects with a nice looking jab.
Twilight waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pfeifer.

Pfeifer drops Twilight with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Twilight looks back up at him and smiles so Pfeifer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Mkat Twilight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pfeifer connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Twilight to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Pfeifer!
