Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladimir Kouzmanoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pure Blood!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Blood as Kouzmanoff shoots in.
Kouzmanoff closes the distance and clinches up with Blood, looking for a takedown. Kouzmanoff pushes Blood against the cage but Blood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kouzmanoff wants to clinch up but Blood keeps it at a distance.
Blood moves out of range of the leg kick from Kouzmanoff.
Kouzmanoff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blood as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Kouzmanoff. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Blood looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Blood seems to be working for a kimura but Kouzmanoff defends the submission attempt.
Kouzmanoff wants to control but Blood is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Blood works his foot free and advances to mount.
Blood tries to control but Kouzmanoff wriggling away.
Blood raining down shots from the mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blood trying to control but Kouzmanoff is having none of it.

Blood working for a submission but Kouzmanoff is keeping him at bay.

Blood with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Blood jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kouzmanoff is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kouzmanoff and Blood has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Blood swings around for an armbar but Kouzmanoff sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Blood's guard.
Blood looks gassed!

Blood working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kouzmanoff has passed into half guard!
Blood tries to get to full guard but Kouzmanoff has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kouzmanoff lands strikes from half guard.
Blood wants to get back to full guard but Kouzmanoff has mounted him!
Kouzmanoff pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A nice elbow there by Kouzmanoff.


Blood is rocked!
Kouzmanoff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kouzmanoff putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Blood is still in real trouble! Can Kouzmanoff finish him?


It looks like Pure Blood has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kouzmanoff wants to finish this one by submission but Blood is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kouzmanoff.
Blood should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kouzmanoff thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blood avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kouzmanoff.
Kouzmanoff looking to ground and pound but Blood is blocking nicely.
Kouzmanoff unloads with some shots from mount but Blood bucks and avoids them well.

Kouzmanoff has hold of Blood's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blood manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kouzmanoff trying to control but Blood is having none of it.

Kouzmanoff looking for a guillotine from mount but Blood is having none of it.
Kouzmanoff thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Kouzmanoff wants to control the pace but Blood is squirming around nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blood holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kouzmanoff tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kouzmanoff trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Blood seems to have recovered his senses.

Kouzmanoff has control of Blood's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blood regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kouzmanoff lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Blood hang on?


That has opened up Pure Blood's cut even more.
Blood regains half guard.

Blood looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Kouzmanoff pushes past his half guard into mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blood is trying desperately to improve position.
Blood trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pure Blood will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Pure Blood's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Blood looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kouzmanoff keeping moving, preventing Blood from controlling successfully.
Blood trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Pure Blood has got the better of the ground game so far.
Blood is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kouzmanoff lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blood!
Blood tries to reverse the position but Kouzmanoff maintains control.
Kouzmanoff scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kouzmanoff in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.


Pure Blood's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pure Blood's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Vladimir Kouzmanoff!
