Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Humberto Faro!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenta Michinoku!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michinoku lunges at Faro with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Faro's hand.
Faro just misses with a punch to the body.
Faro misses the jab.
Faro misses with a two punch combination.
Faro dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Faro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Michinoku moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Faro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Michinoku throws a push kick but Faro slaps the foot to one side.
Faro throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Faro lands with a good body shot.
Michinoku throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Michinoku pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Michinoku avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Faro looks to score with a jab to the body but Michinoku is just out of range.
Faro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Michinoku.
A slapping leg kick lands for Michinoku.
Faro is breathing heavily.
Michinoku scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Michinoku thuds his right hand into Faro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Humberto Faro has been cut.
Michinoku is looking to slow Faro down with leg kicks.
Michinoku throws a front kick that sends Faro stumbling back into the ropes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Michinoku takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

A head kick lands from Michinoku that sends Faro to the canvas. Faro tries to scramble back to his feet but Michinoku brings him back down into side control.

Michinoku stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Faro on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Look low, kick high! Michinoku uses the oldest trick in the book to send Faro tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Michinoku is absolutely delighted - when Faro wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kenta Michinoku!
