Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Dyzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dyzer might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to New Divide. Ripper comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Odorants - This Night kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jack Ripper will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Dyzer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyzer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dyzer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ripper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dyzer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ripper defending well though.
Ripper is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ripper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dyzer is working away from the top position though.
Ripper manages to get to full guard.
Dyzer trying to control the position from guard on top but Ripper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ripper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dyzer defends it easily.
Dyzer forces his way into half guard.
Ripper is looking to control Dyzer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ripper avoid being mounted?
Dyzer moves into full mount! Ripper won't be happy about that!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dyzer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ripper can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


It looks like Jack Ripper has been cut.
Ripper is trying desperately to improve position.
Dyzer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


That has opened up Jack Ripper's cut even more.

Dyzer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ripper to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ripper shrugs it off.
Dyzer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dyzer is working for a guillotine from mount but Ripper frees his head quite easily.
Ripper is working to get back to half guard.
Dyzer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ripper is looking to escape.
Dyzer prevents Ripper from getting the reversal.

Ripper wants to control but Dyzer is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dyzer jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ripper is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ripper and Dyzer has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Ripper's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dyzer looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dyzer scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ripper to see if he's OK.
Ripper tries to buck Dyzer off but Dyzer is having none of it.

Dyzer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ripper knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ripper tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ripper is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Dyzer stops Ripper from getting back to his feet.
Ripper regains full guard. Nicely done.
Dyzer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ripper is keeping the position for now.
Ripper wants to sweep here but Dyzer controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ripper scores with a kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dyzer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ripper.
Ripper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ripper leaves Dyzer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ripper stuffs the takedown attempt from Dyzer. Dyzer gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephen Dyzer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ripper throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dyzer.


It looks like Stephen Dyzer has been cut.
Ripper misses with a two punch combination.
Ripper throws a sloppy head kick and Dyzer moves out of range easily.
Ripper stuffs the takedown.
Ripper throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Dyzer is breathing heavily.

Dyzer drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dyzer won't allow Ripper to sweep him here.

Ripper is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ripper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dyzer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dyzer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ripper's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Dyzer dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Dyzer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Dyzer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ripper is fending him off so far but Dyzer persists. Nope, Ripper circles away and we're back to standing.
Ripper loads up on a big right hand but Dyzer slips the punch.
Ripper throws a leg kick but Dyzer sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Ripper lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dyzer's sensitive parts.
Ripper connects with a high kick.
Ripper is looking to slow Dyzer down with leg kicks.
Dyzer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ripper.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dyzer has a takedown stuffed.
Ripper catches Dyzer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Dyzer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ripper cracks a nice hook into Dyzer's ribs.
Ripper throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ripper throws a head kick that Dyzer semi-blocks.


Dyzer is rocked!


Stephen Dyzer's cut is getting worse.
Ripper throws a hook but Dyzer avoids it easily.
Oh Dyzer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dyzer drops his hands momentarily. Ripper doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Dyzer staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Dyzer doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Ripper!
