PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Seppo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Porong Tong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Seppo is not content to let Tong control the position.
Tong might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Seppo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tong is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Seppo has control of Tong's left arm, preventing Tong from doing any damage.

Seppo wants to sweep but no luck.
Seppo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tong on the ground.

Tong drops back looking for a leg! Seppo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Seppo manages to kick Tong off! Tong jumps back into Seppo's guard.

Tong wants to pass the guard but Seppo is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tong shoots for a double leg takedown but Seppo sprawls well. He's pushed Tong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Seppo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Tong decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Tong is looking for a kimura but Seppo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tong to get the leverage.
Seppo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Seppo pushes Tong off looking to stand but Tong dives back in and keeps control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Seppo holds on and takes a little breather.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Seppo connects with a nice short shot to Tong's temple.

That was a close second round but I would say that Emmanuel Seppo will probably get the nod.

Porong Tong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
