Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Los Anjos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Los Anjos has chosen After Dark - Tito and Tarantula as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Los Anjos!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Los Anjos.
Good leg kick by Los Anjos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Los Anjos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Costa rushes Los Anjos and presses him up against the cage.
Costa working hard to break the clinch.

It looks like Gabriel Los Anjos has been cut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Los Anjos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Costa but Costa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Los Anjos misses with a low kick.

Oooh a lovely combination from Costa sends Los Anjos down but not out. Costa dives into side control looking to finish.

Costa looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Costa decides to take the fight back to the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Costa lands a left and a right that sends Los Anjos crashing to the canvas! Costa dives into mount looking to finish!

Costa has control of Los Anjos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Los Anjos regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Costa working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Costa moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Los Anjos has worked his arm free - good work by Los Anjos!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Costa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Los Anjos, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Los Anjos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Costa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gabriel Los Anjos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Costa lands a body shot.

Costa throws a wild body kick that Los Anjos sees coming a mile off.
Los Anjos avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Costa drops Los Anjos with a left and a right! Oh, Los Anjos is hurt - Costa dives into side control looking to finish!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Los Anjos is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Costa wants to control but Los Anjos is keeping him busy.

Costa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Los Anjos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Costa swings around for an armbar but Los Anjos sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Costa's guard.

Los Anjos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Los Anjos wants to control from the top but Costa keeps moving.
Costa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Costa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Los Anjos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Costa has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Los Anjos doesn't defend quickly enough and Costa has managed to lock this one up! Can Los Anjos escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Costa on a fantastic submission victory.
