PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Chokespear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Dallas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dallas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ace of Spades kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dan Dallas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with William Chokespear's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, William Chokespear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Dallas!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chokespear closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dallas circles away.

Chokespear throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dallas was covering up waiting for the punch and Chokespear finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dallas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dallas is striking off his back. Chokespear thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Dallas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Chokespear looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Chokespear is persistently looking for the submission but Dallas is defending it well.

Chokespear doesn't have the hooks in and Dallas manages to turn into his guard.

Dallas wants to pass the guard but Chokespear is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Chokespear looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dallas drops back looking for a leg! Chokespear is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chokespear manages to kick Dallas off! Dallas jumps back into Chokespear's guard.
Dallas wants to get up but he can't break Chokespear's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dallas drops back looking for a leg! Chokespear is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chokespear manages to kick Dallas off! Dallas jumps back into Chokespear's guard.

Chokespear escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dallas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

William Chokespear dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Some wild striking there from Dallas.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chokespear is defended easily by Dallas.
Dallas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chokespear.
Good leg kick by Dallas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Chokespear will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Chokespear feints and as Dallas raises his hands in defense, Chokespear changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dallas manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chokespear's best efforts.
