Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Seed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seed comes into the arena with NoFx - Johnny Appleseed blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seed tries to clinch up.
Blood dives in and grabs Seed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seed pushes down on Blood's head and hops out.
Blood walks into a jab.

Blood has Seed up against the cage in a clinch.
Blood drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Seed gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Blood jumps guard but Seed stands there with Blood around his waist. Blood gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Johnathan Seed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Blood.

Blood manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Seed throws a big right hand that misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blood clinches but Seed breaks the clinch
and Seed counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Seed smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Seed misses with a straight left.
Blood tries to clinch but Seed moves out of range.
Johnathan Seed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Seed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blood.
Blood takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Blood tries to land a front kick but Seed steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Seed throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blood sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fighters circling - Seed throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Seed throws the left hand but Blood avoids the punch easily.

Seed forces Blood back against the cage and clinches.

Blood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Seed is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Seed digs a right hand underneath Blood's ribcage. Blood let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Blood goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Seed lands a shot to the body.
Blood looks gassed!
Blood tries to pull guard but Seed won't allow it.
Seed will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Blood up against the cage.
Blood is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Seed pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Seed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Seed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blood.

Blood tries to keep at a distance but Seed has taken the fight into the clinch.

Seed is pressed up against the cage. Blood has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Seed down to the mat. Seed avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Seed bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blood's head.

Blood is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Seed gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Seed is positioning himself well to prevent Blood advancing to mount.

Blood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seed swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Blood fails with the takedown.

Blood shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blood showed some decent athleticism there.
Seed moves into full guard.
Seed is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Blood drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Seed dives on top into guard.

Seed is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Blood takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Blood is trying desperately to improve position.
Seed lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blood is bucking up trying to escape but Seed cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Seed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
