Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton has chosen Voices as his entrance music. The key to victory for Shane Carwin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carwin's waist but Carwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Orton off to one side.
Carwin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Orton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Orton keeps the fight on the outside.

Carwin cracks Orton with an uppercut from hell and Orton crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Carwin's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like Randy Orton has been cut.
Orton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Carwin postures up in Orton's guard and throws a big left but Orton blocks it.
Carwin is looking to work some ground and pound but Orton has wrist control.

Carwin gets to his feet - Orton follows without any prompting.
Carwin has his takedown stuffed

and Orton counters by clinching up.

Orton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Orton throws a shot from downtown. Carwin moves away and avoids it.
Orton tries a head kick but it misses.
Carwin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Carwin misses with a few strikes there.

Orton clinches up against the cage.
Carwin takes an elbow to the temple.

Carwin breaks the clinch.

and Orton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Carwin is breathing heavily.

Carwin kicks Orton off and gets back to his feet.

Orton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Carwin tries to kick Orton off but Orton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Orton postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carwin looks a forlorn figure.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carwin has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

and Orton counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carwin!
Orton is landing with some decent strikes but Carwin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Orton has control of Carwin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carwin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

and Carwin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Carwin stands and steps away. Orton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Carwin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Orton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
