Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Rask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Sorensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikko Rask has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Rask!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Sorensen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorensen swats away the attempt to clinch by Rask.
Rask shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sorensen as he jumps to the side.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sorensen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rask just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rask changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sorensen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rask shoots in for a double leg but Sorensen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikko Rask. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sorensen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rask napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Rask prevents Sorensen from improving position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rask struggling a bit here.
Rask is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sorensen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sorensen lands a nice forearm strike.
Rask seems a little lost for a moment, as Sorensen dominates the positioning.
Rask is looking to regain half guard here but Sorensen keeps moving and retains side control.

Sorensen decides to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rask misses with a takedown

and Sorensen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Rask tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Sorensen has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Rask is breathing heavily.

Sorensen cracks Rask with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sorensen working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Rask turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sorensen off and cradles Rask's limp body as Sorensen celebrates with his corner.
