Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melhim Abu Shahin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Ilmeinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abu Shahin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Desert Rose. Ilmeinen has chosen The Imperial March as his entrance music. Mikko Ilmeinen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikko Ilmeinen!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilmeinen swings for the body but Abu Shahin moves out of range.
Ilmeinen misses with a looping left.
Abu Shahin takes a swing at Ilmeinen's ribcage but misses.
Ilmeinen misses with a hook.

Ilmeinen clinches.
Ilmeinen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Abu Shahin.
Ilmeinen pushes Abu Shahin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Melhim Abu Shahin has been cut.
Abu Shahin wants a takedown but no success here.
Abu Shahin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ilmeinen pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melhim Abu Shahin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Abu Shahin swings for the body but Ilmeinen moves out of range.
Ilmeinen cracks Abu Shahin with a right hand to the side of the head.
Abu Shahin misses with a body kick.
Abu Shahin moves out of range as Ilmeinen strikes.
A jab from Ilmeinen misses.
Abu Shahin wants to clinch up but Ilmeinen keeps it at a distance.
Abu Shahin lands with a nice body punch.
Ilmeinen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Ilmeinen tries to move into range but Abu Shahin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Ilmeinen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Abu Shahin wants to improve his position but Ilmeinen is controlling well.
Ilmeinen thows a huge punch but Abu Shahin dodges it nicely.
Ilmeinen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Abu Shahin defending well though.
Abu Shahin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ilmeinen is nestled in close to Abu Shahin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Abu Shahin is looking to improve his position.
Ilmeinen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Abu Shahin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ilmeinen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ilmeinen is looking to advance position but Abu Shahin won't allow it.
Abu Shahin regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ilmeinen.

Ilmeinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Abu Shahin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ilmeinen gets to his feet and stands over Abu Shahin, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Abu Shahin felt that one! Ilmeinen unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Abu Shahin from any more punishment!
