PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lafungu Magungua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Luck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magungua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luck's waist but Luck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Magungua off to one side.
Luck looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Luck shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Magungua tries to clinch up.

Magungua shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Magungua showed some decent athleticism there.

Well, if Magungua is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Magungua decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Magungua shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Luck's guard.

Magungua drops back looking for a leg! Luck is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Luck manages to kick Magungua off! Magungua jumps back into Luck's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Magungua's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Magungua slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
