With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metzger tries a head kick but it misses.

Suzuki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Metzger to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Metzger shrugs it off.

Suzuki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Suzuki's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Suzuki does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Suzuki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Metzger turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Metzger pivots, looking for a leg kick but Suzuki is out of range and Metzger settles back down.
Metzger is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Suzuki can do to turn this around?

Suzuki shoots in looking for a takedown. Metzger tries to sprawl out of it but Suzuki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Metzger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Metzger lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Suzuki has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Suzuki and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Suzuki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Metzger dives on top into guard.

Metzger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Metzger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Metzger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Metzger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Suzuki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Metzger slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Viktor Metzger.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suzuki lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Metzger is looking to improve his position but Suzuki isn't that keen on the idea.

Thiago Suzuki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Metzger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
