Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Jane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Koss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Koss throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jane sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Koss tries to close the distance and clinch but Jane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jane, right into the meat.

Koss closes the distance and clinches.
Jane keeps control of Koss as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jane walks into a jab.
Koss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Koss tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Koss tries to clinch up but Jane circles away and keeps his distance.
Koss looks to land a left hand but Jane moved out of range nicely.
Koss moves in looking to clinch but Jane pushes him off.
Koss is looking to clinch but Jane is avoiding it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jane.
John Koss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Koss fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jane, pushing him back against the cage.
Koss goes for a takedown attempt but Jane pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Koss has Jane up against the cage in a clinch.

Koss jumps guard and drags Jane to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jane tries to free his leg and advance position but Koss is retaining full guard.
Koss wants to stand and escape but Jane is having none of it.
Jane tries to stand but Koss is controlling from the bottom.

Jane stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Koss takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like John Koss has been cut.

Koss stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jane.
Jane throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jane with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jane stuns Koss with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Crack! A monster head kick from Jane and Koss falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Jane!
