Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between francis inocencio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). inocencio comes to the cage accompanied by hope. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powers looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Powers prevents inocencio from getting back to his feet.
inocencio is trying to control the position but Powers postures up.

Powers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Powers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Powers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
inocencio lands some strikes from the bottom.
Powers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Powers is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

inocencio working for a triangle but Powers defends it easily.

Powers drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but inocencio manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Powers has inocencio in his guard.

Powers tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Powers is controlling inocencio's posture.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
inocencio trying to control the position from guard on top but Powers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powers wants to sweep but no luck.
inocencio has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Powers is proving hard to escape from.
inocencio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Powers scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Powers keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
inocencio doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Powers counters with a nice double leg into side control. inocencio won't be happy with that.

Powers decides to stand up, so the ref orders inocencio to his feet.
inocencio throws a right and a left that both miss.
inocencio throws a head kick but Powers moves out of range.
inocencio tries to clinch up

and Powers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in inocencio's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
inocencio is breathing heavily.

Powers avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
inocencio has momentary wrist control but Powers slips an elbow through the middle.

Powers is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! inocencio is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! inocencio has escaped and now he's on top!

inocencio has gone for a leg lock! Powers slips out almost immediately though and dives into inocencio's guard.

Powers drops back looking for a leg! inocencio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and inocencio manages to kick Powers off! Powers jumps back into inocencio's guard.
Powers postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed right hand from inocencio misses the target.
inocencio tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Powers drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
inocencio is trying to escape the position but Powers is controlling the position.

Powers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. inocencio knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Powers tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Powers is breathing heavily.

Powers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but inocencio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

inocencio tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Powers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee asks Powers politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Powers prefers to stall for the moment though.

Powers tries for a kimura but inocencio is defending well.
inocencio is not content to let Powers control the position.

Powers decides to stand back up.
francis inocencio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

inocencio has his takedown stuffed

and Powers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kyle Powers has got the better of the ground game so far.

inocencio looking for submissions off his back.
inocencio tries to kick Powers off in order to stand up. Powers Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
inocencio takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Powers has hold of inocencio's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! inocencio tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Powers cranks the arm and inocencio screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from inocencio, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
