The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Smith is keeping busy.
Jackson tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Jackson back against the cage.

Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milo Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control.

Jackson has control of Smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.
