Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trent Tickin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan has chosen Tenderness by General Public as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dave Kaplan!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tickin closes the distance and clinches.
Tickin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kaplan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tickin stops a takedown attempt from Kaplan.
Tickin is working for takedown but Kaplan is calmly controlling the position for now.
Tickin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kaplan prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trent Tickin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kaplan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tickin can't fight it off and eventually Kaplan manages to take the fight to the floor. Tickin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tickin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kaplan is one step ahead there.
Kaplan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kaplan throws a big right hand that misses.
Kaplan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kaplan is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tickin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kaplan is looking to defend but Tickin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kaplan! Tickin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kaplan taps out and this one is all over!
