Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tron Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Bones has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones throws a nice looking combination but Boom bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Boom closes the distance and clinches.

Boom breaks the clinch.
Boom closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bones circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Bones. No joy for Boom on that attempt.
Bones looks to land a combination. Boom sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Bones stalks Boom and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boom's face. Boom staggers backwards, shaken.

Bones moves into the clinch.

Boom jumps guard but Bones stands there with Boom around his waist. Boom gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Boom jumps guard but Bones stands there with Boom around his waist. Boom gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Boom is working an open guard so Bones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Boom has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jon Bones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boom, pushing him back against the cage.

Boom keeps control of Bones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Boom has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Boom pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boom on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bones scores with a one two! Boom had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Boom shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bones as he avoids it easily.
Bones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Oh Boom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boom seems to have got his legs back now.
Bones blocks a head kick by Boom.

Bones pushes Boom off and gets back to his feet.

Boom looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Boom is looking to clinch but Bones is avoiding it.
Bones is working the combinations to good effect here.
Bones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bones looks to land a combination. Boom sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A lazy left from Bones finds it's target.
Boom is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Boom tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bones is able to avoid easily.

Boom looking to sit in guard and control but Bones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Boom controls Bones momentarily but Bones frees himself.
Boom wants to stand up but Bones is controlling him.
Boom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Boom looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Boom wants to stand but Bones is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boom is controlling him.
Boom wants to get up but he can't break Bones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bones can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Boom wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Boom closes the distance and pushes Bones back into the cage.
Boom is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bones is pressed up against the cage. Boom has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bones down to the mat. Bones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tron Boom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Boom moves into the clinch successfully.
Bones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Boom escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Bones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Boom slips a jab and a cross from Bones.
Bones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boom paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boom goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bones turns into him and now he's in Boom's guard.

Boom is really struggling to control Bones but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Bones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boom, up you get!

Jon Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bones wants it to stay on the feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Boom crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bones - the referee stops the clock and Boom gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bones. Boom manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Boom shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bones napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bones regains half guard, as Boom was trying to land strikes.
Boom thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bones's head.
Boom seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boom backs up against the cage.

Boom has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bones uses from the top position.
