Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Stoner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson Juniper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jefferson Juniper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bob Stoner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Stoner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jefferson Juniper!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juniper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stoner.

Juniper gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Juniper looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Juniper wants to get back to his feet but Stoner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Stoner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Juniper swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Juniper is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Juniper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stoner is one step ahead there.
Juniper throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Juniper lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stoner!
Stoner is wriggling around trying to escape.

Juniper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Juniper has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jefferson Juniper just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A frustrated look appears on Stoner's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The crowd are getting on Juniper's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stoner fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Juniper can't find room to land a body shot as Stoner controls the action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Juniper fails with an attempt to clinch.
Juniper doesn't manage to clinch there - Stoner circles away.
Juniper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stoner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stoner shoots in looking for a takedown. Juniper tries to sprawl out of it but Stoner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Juniper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Juniper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Juniper doesn't manage to clinch there - Stoner circles away.

Juniper fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stoner, pushing him back against the cage.
Stoner tries to pull guard but Juniper holds him up against the cage and eventually Stoner drops back down to his feet.
Stoner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Juniper takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Juniper tries to clinch but Stoner is having none of it.
Juniper keeps Stoner at a distance using the push kick.

A nice leg kick lands there from Juniper.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Juniper. Stoner shrugs it off though.
Juniper fails in his attempt to clinch.
Stoner has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Juniper.
Juniper moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stoner sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jefferson Juniper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Stoner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Stoner jumps guard but Juniper stands there with Stoner around his waist. Stoner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Juniper's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Juniper digs a right hand into Stoner's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Stoner's gas tank.
Stoner will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Juniper has Stoner pressed against the cage.
Stoner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Juniper walks away with a smile on his face. Stoner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jefferson Juniper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Juniper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
