Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sen Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nguyen's entrance music is "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nguyen.
A jab from Wilder finds it's way through Nguyen's defenses.

Nguyen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wilder did well to prevent Nguyen getting side control.

Nguyen is looking for a kimura here.
Nguyen is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilder is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Wilder tries to kick Nguyen off but Nguyen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Wilder is staying active underneath Nguyen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wilder is trying to stand up here but Nguyen is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilder is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Wilder kicks Nguyen off and gets back to his feet.

A head kick from Wilder lands but Nguyen takes it in his stride.

It looks like Sen Nguyen has been cut.
Nguyen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Van Wilder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wilder connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nguyen momentarily.

Nguyen is rocked!
Nice shot lands for Wilder.
Oh Nguyen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilder throws a leg kick which misses Nguyen's front leg but catches the back leg as Nguyen tries to avoid it.
Nguyen seems to have got his legs back now.
Wilder connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nguyen is breathing heavily.
Nguyen tries to clinch but Wilder is having none of it.
Nguyen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nguyen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wilder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nguyen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wilder to score with a decent uppercut.
Wilder Rushes Nguyen and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Nguyen is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Wilder Piles on the pressure and Nguyen crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
