The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujii fails with a takedown attempt.
Fujii shoots in but Wonka avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wonka slips a jab from Fujii.
Willy Wonka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wonka slaps away a takedown attempt from Fujii, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fujii tries for a kimura but Wonka is defending well.

Fujii has knee on belly momentarily but Wonka bucks him off and regains half guard.

Wonka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fujii shoots in but Wonka avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Horrible takedown by Fujii or perhaps it was just good defense by Wonka which made him look bad.
Fujii closes the distance and clinches up with Wonka, looking for a takedown. Fujii pushes Wonka against the cage but Wonka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fujii dives in and grabs Wonka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wonka pushes down on Fujii's head and hops out.
Fujii takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wonka works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Willy Wonka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wonka throws a jab when Fujii was well out of range.
Fujii fails with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wonka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fujii manages to avoid it.

Fujii rushes Wonka and presses him up against the cage.
Wonka tries to pull guard but Fujii holds him up against the cage and eventually Wonka drops back down to his feet.
Fujii is trying to drag Wonka to the mat but Wonka just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Fujii tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Fujii fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fujii is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wonka pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Wonka is trying to break the clinch but Fujii has him pressed against the cage.

Fujii has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wonka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fujii has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Wonka parries the strikes from Fujii easily there. Fujii is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wonka to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wonka is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Fujii is controlling him well.

Fujii tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wonka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fujii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wonka is trying to buck Fujii off.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A slow jab from Wonka misses its intended target.
Wonka throws an overhand right that lands on Fujii's shoulder, as Fujii tries to avoid the shot.

Willy Wonka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
