The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanori misses with a wild combination.

Gunma scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gunma working over Takanori with some ground and pound. Takanori looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gunma lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Takanori is trying to stand up here but Gunma is controlling him well.

Gunma is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gunma drops an elbow to the side of Takanori's head.
Takanori pushes Gunma off looking to stand but Gunma dives back in and keeps control.

Gunma wants to work for an arm triangle but Takanori is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Takanori wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunma is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Takanori sees it coming and defends easily.
Takanori really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gunma has control of Takanori's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Takanori regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gunma is breathing heavily.

Gunma is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Takanori has managed to escape the submission attempt.
You get the feeling that Takanori really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Takanori has left one of his arms exposed and Gunma doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Takanori screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
