The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a nice looking combination but Danson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Danson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kane counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Danson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kane pulls his head out easily.

and Danson counters with a three punch combo that has Kane backing up. Kane nods at Danson to acknowledge the strikes.

Kane takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Danson looks a forlorn figure.

Kane tries to pass to full mount but Danson defends it.
