Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geter Done (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geter Done!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Done darts in and clinches Coleman up against the cage.
Done is working for takedown but Coleman is calmly controlling the position for now.

Coleman manages to pull guard.
Done preventing the sweep.
Done throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Coleman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Coleman keeping moving, preventing Done from controlling successfully.
Done preventing the sweep.
Coleman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Done postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Coleman.
Coleman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Done lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coleman circles away quickly and effectively.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Done is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Coleman pulls his head out easily.
Done has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coleman is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Coleman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Coleman showed some decent athleticism there.
Coleman is pressing down on Done's thigh, looking to free his foot. Done is holding on for now.

Coleman is trying to control. Done wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Done closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Coleman to the mat! Coleman manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman wants to stand and escape but Done is having none of it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Done accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Coleman is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Done goes for a takedown attempt but Coleman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Done misses with a hook. Coleman ducked under it nicely.
Done throws a head kick that misses.

Mark Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Done drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Coleman is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Done. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Done remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Done misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
