Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nervik Vienze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vienze clinches with his opponent.
Tank looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Tank being controlled against the cage.
Tank is trying to break the clinch but Vienze is controlling him.
Tank lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Vienze or not.

Tank has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vienze uses from the top position.
Vienze has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tank is proving hard to escape from.
Vienze looking to sit in guard and control but Tank gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tank throws and elbow that misses. Vienze uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tank's guard. Nice move by Vienze!

Vienze sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tank's guard.
Tank is doing well to control the position and prevent Vienze from advancing to side control.

Vienze throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tank works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tank is on top in guard.

Vienze is working an open guard so Tank takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Tank tries for a takedown but Vienze sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vienze tries to clinch up but Tank circles away and keeps his distance.
Vienze pushes Tank away with a front kick.
Tank fails with a takedown attempt.

Vienze closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vienze is looking to advance position but Tank won't allow it.

Vienze is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Tank tries to roll over but Vienze keeps him under control.
Tank trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Vienze manages to pass to mount!

Tank is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Vienze is staying active.

Vienze goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tank is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Nervik Vienze will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Vienze blocks a head kick by Tank.
Vienze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vienze wants it to stay on the feet.
Vienze walks into a left hand.
Tank tries for a takedown but Vienze circles away easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Vienze gets a takedown into half guard.
Vienze seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tank does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tank is breathing heavily.
Vienze wants to stand up but Tank has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vienze takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Tank wants to get back to his feet.
Tank trying to control but Vienze postures up.
Tank is looking to improve his position.

Vienze decides to stand up.
Vienze with a lazy takedown attempt
and Tank connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Vienze closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tank did well to prevent Vienze getting side control.

Vienze is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tank defends it well.

Vienze wants to control but Tank is keeping him busy.
Tank tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Vienze has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Tank is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Vienze tries to control but Tank wriggling away.

Tank's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tank throwing hammer fists to the chest of Vienze. What's that going to do exactly?
Tank is looking to get to half guard.

Vienze is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tank has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Tank is in a horrible position here. Vienze smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vienze can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tank is looking to escape.

Vienze lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tank down.
Vienze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tank keeps working.

Vienze fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tank, pushing him back against the cage.

Vienze pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vienze misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tank doesn't succeed with the takedown

Tank throws a strike but Vienze rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Tank wants to sweep but no luck.
Tank preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Tank wants to control position but Vienze is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Tank here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
