Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between chok rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Koob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koob is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Offspring- Stuff is messed up. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koob fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
rivera misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Koob is defended easily by rivera.
Koob shoots in and drives through. rivera sprawls well.
chok rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Koob.
rivera leaves Koob with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Koob is defended easily by rivera.
Simon Koob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koob changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. rivera tries to avoid it but Koob manages to keep hold of a leg and drag rivera to the ground. rivera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Koob looks gassed!
rivera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
rivera misses with a series of wild punches.

Koob looks to land a left hand but rivera moved out of range nicely.
Koob takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Koob takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A chopping leg kick lands by rivera.
rivera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
rivera misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
rivera throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Simon Koob has been cut.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koob swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Koob blocks a head kick by rivera.

rivera pushes Koob up against the cage in a clinch.

rivera has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Koob is trying to keep an underhook but rivera manages to get the takedown into half guard.

rivera is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Koob has managed to free his arm - good work.

rivera takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Koob is trying to control but can't.

rivera seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Koob is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
