Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bat is defended easily by Santana.
Santana dodges the punch combination from Bat.

Santana closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bat did well to prevent Santana getting side control.
Santana is just content to waste time from the top position. Bat takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Santana passes Bat's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Santana seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bat tries to get to full guard but Santana has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bat wants to clinch up but Santana keeps it at a distance.
Santana shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bat defends it nicely.

Bat shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bat is breathing heavily.

Bat wants to take a breather but Santana is having none of it.

Bat decides to stand up, so the ref orders Santana to his feet.
Santana dives in and grabs Bat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bat pushes down on Santana's head and hops out.
Santana tries for a takedown but Bat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Scabby Bat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito Santana.

Bat gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Santana to score an easy takedown into full guard.
