Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean McMorrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dale comes to the cage accompanied by Try A Little Tenderness. Philip Dale had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 266.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Philip Dale has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Philip Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean McMorrow!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McMorrow drops Dale with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dale looks back up at him and smiles so McMorrow waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Dale fails with a takedown attempt.
McMorrow takes a swing at Dale's ribcage but misses.
McMorrow finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Dale decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dale decides to return to a standing position.
Dale is breathing heavily.
McMorrow throws a head kick that misses.
McMorrow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dale takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

McMorrow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dale sprawls well initially but McMorrow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McMorrow scores with a couple of good hammerfists.


Philip Dale's cut is getting worse.
Dale on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.


Philip Dale's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Dale taking some punishment here, with McMorrow in his half guard.
McMorrow prevents Dale from standing back up.
Dale on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dale tries to get out of the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McMorrow lands a nice short elbow.


Jeez, Philip Dale's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Philip Dale's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Sean McMorrow!
