Marzapane has chosen Survivor - Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Nick Ng has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ng keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ng tries to clinch there but Marzapane circles away.
Ng doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Marzapane changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ng throws a looping overhand right but Marzapane ducks down to avoid it.
Marzapane loads up on a big right hand but Ng slips the punch.
Marzapane darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Nick Ng has been cut.
Marzapane moves out of range of the leg kick from Ng.
Marzapane connects with a jab.
Ng lands a glancing blow to the side of Marzapane's head.
Ng misses the jab.
Decent striking displayed by Marzapane there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marzapane comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ng looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Marzapane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ng tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marzapane was well out of range. Poor timing from Ng.
Good leg kick by Ng there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Marzapane throws a body punch but Ng moves out of range.
Marzapane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ng works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Marzapane takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Marzapane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ng moves away.
Ng feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marzapane's calf.
Marzapane scores with a jab to the body.
Ng missing with a left hand there. Marzapane was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Ng will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Marzapane misses with a hook. Ng ducked under it nicely.
Marzapane lands a nice shot to the body.
Ng loads up on a big right hand but Marzapane slips the punch.
Ng lands a head kick. Marzapane smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Marzapane thows a body shot but no joy.

Ng ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ng throws a wild body kick that Marzapane sees coming a mile off.

Ng closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Marzapane gets through Ng's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Marzapane is trying to maintain a safe position but Ng gets an underhook and turns Marzapane into the cage.

Marzapane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ng moves in looking to clinch but Marzapane pushes him off.
Ng throws a low kick but it's checked well by Marzapane.
Marzapane lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marzapane changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ng wants to clinch.
Ng misses with a double jab.
Marzapane is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ng rather than just go for the knockout.
Marzapane lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Ng gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nice body punch from Ng - that landed with a thud.
Marzapane blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Marzapane wants to break free but Ng has control.
Ng cracks Marzapane with a nice body shot.
Marzapane misses with a hook to the ribs.
Marzapane is trying to stall.
Ng makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Marzapane takes a knee right on the jaw!
Ng presses Marzapane against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Marzapane is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Marzapane digs a right hand into Ng's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ng's gas tank.
Ng looking to throw knees to the head but Marzapane is blocking nicely.
Ng lands with a left to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ng creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ng tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ng is trying to maintain a safe position but Marzapane gets an underhook and turns Ng into the cage.
Marzapane lands a right hand.
Ng is looking to control Marzapane's arms but Marzapane gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ng has his back to the cage.
Ng tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Marzapane lands a shoulder strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Marzapane.
A hook to the body from Marzapane.
Marzapane wants to break free but Ng has control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marzapane has had enough of the clinch but Ng keeps him there for the moment.
Ng misses with an elbow strike.
Ng misses with a hook from the clinch.
Ng stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Marzapane looks gassed!
Marzapane tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ng avoids it.

Marzapane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Ng.
Ng throws a jab but it's blocked by Marzapane.
Marzapane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Marzapane crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ng - the referee stops the clock and Marzapane gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ng. Marzapane manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ng connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marzapane throws out a loose jab but Ng uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marzapane tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Marzapane moves away from the strike by Ng.
A combination from Ng does no damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marzapane takes a head kick and keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
