Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Richarlison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Richarlison has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricky Richarlison!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Richarlison circles away quickly and effectively.
Moss stuffs the takedown attempt from Richarlison. Richarlison gets slowly back to his feet.
Moss shoots in but Richarlison avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Richarlison misses with a takedown
and Moss cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Moss gets caught flat footed, as Richarlison shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Richarlison postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moss is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Richarlison, into his guard.
Moss content to stall in guard here.
Moss passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Richarlison actively working from the bottom here.
Richarlison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Richarlison is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Richarlison trying to get back to full guard but Moss takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Moss prevents Richarlison from getting the reversal.

Richarlison tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Moss sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Richarlison tries to hold on but Moss pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Moss dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Moss misses with a takedown

and Richarlison counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moss uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Richarlison feints and as Moss raises his hands in defense, Richarlison changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Richarlison in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Richarlison must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Richarlison throws a strike but Moss rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Richarlison can't keep his opponent in guard - Moss advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Richarlison has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Moss escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Moss!
Richarlison is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Richarlison's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Moss remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moss advances nicely into full mount.
Richarlison tries to hold on but Moss postures up.
Richarlison is trying to escape the mount.
Richarlison sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Moss frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Richarlison throwing hammer fists to the chest of Moss. What's that going to do exactly?
Richarlison wants to hold on but Moss pushes him away.
Richarlison is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Moss controlling the position easily from mount.
Richarlison wants to hold on but Moss pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricky Richarlison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Moss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Moss looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Richarlison closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Moss to the mat! Moss manages to get full guard.

Moss scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Ricky Richarlison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moss will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Richarlison shoots and misses
and Moss counters with a straight right hand.
Richarlison takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Richarlison shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Moss is staying active underneath Richarlison, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Richarlison might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Moss kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Moss doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Richarlison counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moss won't be happy with that.

Moss is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Richarlison has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Richarlison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moss keeps working.
Richarlison throws a strike aimed at the side of Moss's head but Moss avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Richarlison misses with the ground and pound.
Moss is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Richarlison is controlling him well.
Richarlison is looking to take a break and control but Moss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jay Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Richarlison.

Richarlison bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Moss's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ricky Richarlison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Richarlison has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
