PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Mayweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kekoa Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kai has hold of Mayweather's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mayweather manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kai is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Mayweather reverses the position - he's now on top in Kai's guard.

Kai is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mayweather to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mayweather shrugs it off.

Kekoa Kai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kai drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mayweather looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mayweather looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mayweather!

Well Kai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
