The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie dodges the punch combination from Kaplan.

It looks like Romam Gracie has been cut.
Kaplan throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.

Kaplan looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.

Kaplan swings wildly with an uppercut but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Gracie gets control of Kaplan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gracie will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kaplan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
