PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rumple Foreskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Mayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foreskin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Foreskin seems to be working for a kimura but Mayes defends the submission attempt.
Foreskin throwing shots but Mayes is blocking nicely.
Mayes is trying to maintain the position but Foreskin is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mayes keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Foreskin is trying to control. Mayes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Foreskin seems to be working for a kimura but Mayes defends the submission attempt.
Mayes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mayes is looking for a sweep. Foreskin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mayes is positioning himself well to prevent Foreskin advancing to mount.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mayes goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mayes misses with a low kick as Foreskin jumps back.
Mayes misses with a looping left.
Foreskin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mayes's waist but Mayes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Foreskin off to one side.
Mayes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Mayes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Foreskin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mayes throws a head kick but Foreskin moves out of range.
Mayes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Foreskin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Foreskin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mayes tries to hold on but Foreskin postures up.

Foreskin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mayes is now in Foreskin's guard. A big mistake from Foreskin there, giving up the dominant position!
Mayes is stalling in the full guard.
Foreskin wants to get back to his feet but Mayes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Foreskin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mayes escapes and throws Foreskin's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Mayes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Foreskin tries to roll over but Mayes keeps him under control.
Foreskin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Foreskin is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Foreskin won't allow Mayes to pass to mount.
Mayes is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Foreskin wants to improve his position but Mayes is controlling well.
Mayes content to control rather than advance.

Despite being in the dominant position, Seth Mayes just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Foreskin trying to control but Mayes is working from the bottom.
Foreskin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mayes pulls Foreskin in close to prevent any damage.
Foreskin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Foreskin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mayes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Mayes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Foreskin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rumple Foreskin will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Foreskin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mayes did well to prevent Foreskin getting side control.

Foreskin wants to control from the top but Mayes keeps moving.

Mayes has his foot on Foreskin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foreskin works his way back into a safe position though.

Foreskin wants to get up but he can't break Mayes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Foreskin trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mayes is looking to land body kicks.

Foreskin is in trouble now - Mayes has advanced to mount!
Mayes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mayes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Foreskin tries to hold on but Mayes pushes him away.
Mayes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mayes is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Foreskin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

And that's the end of the fight!
Seth Mayes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mayes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
