Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chi Tin Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sleepy Stoney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chi Tin Ho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sleepy Stoney!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ho fails to land the takedown.

Stoney gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ho tries for a takedown but Stoney manages to get underhooks.
Stoney has Ho pushed against the cage.

Stoney manages to break the clinch.
Ho closes the distance looking to clinch

and Stoney counters with a takedown into side control.
Stoney is staying tight to Ho's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Stoney is looking to take a break and control but Ho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stoney controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ho is looking to regain half guard here but Stoney keeps moving and retains side control.
Stoney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ho keeps working.
Ho is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stoney controls the position.

Stoney thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ho struggling a bit here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Stoney drives through and clinches with Ho against the cage.

Stoney drags the fight down to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ho got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stoney has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ho has managed to get both his arms back between Stoney's legs - danger averted.
Ho wants to pass the guard but Stoney is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stoney keeping moving, preventing Ho from controlling successfully.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ho stands and steps away. Stoney gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ho stuffs the takedown.

and Stoney decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ho's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chi Tin Ho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ho is breathing heavily.

Ho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stoney is aware though and is defending well.

Ho is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ho looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stoney seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Stoney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ho swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sleepy Stoney dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Stoney has Ho up against the cage in a clinch.

Stoney lands a takedown into guard.
Stoney is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Stoney working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stoney tries to free his leg and advance position but Ho is retaining full guard.

Ho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stoney decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ho, up you get!

Stoney closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ho is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stoney wants the takedown. Ho is fighting it off but Stoney persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ho's guard against the cage.

Stoney throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ho works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stoney controlling from the top position.
Stoney trying to control the position from guard on top but Ho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stoney controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ho pushes Stoney off and scrambles back to his feet.

Stoney bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ho stops Stoney from passing to mount.
Stoney remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Stoney works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stoney decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ho to his feet.

Stoney drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stoney wants to stand but Ho is controlling his arm.

Stoney working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Stoney is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sleepy Stoney showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Ho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stoney counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ho's guard now.

Stoney is looking to stand up but Ho won't let him.
Ho keeping full guard, as Stoney tries to pass.

Ho looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stoney passes into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Stoney moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Stoney tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stoney has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ho is trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Ho's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ho is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Stoney decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Stoney looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ho!

Ho tries to hold on but Stoney postures up.
Chi Tin Ho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Stoney controlling his opponent.
Ho throwing hammer fists to the chest of Stoney. What's that going to do exactly?
Stoney blocks Ho's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Stoney looking to control and managing it successfully.
A nice elbow there by Stoney.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sleepy Stoney comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stoney has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
