The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maxwell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

De Zeeuw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maxwell's guard.
De Zeeuw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maxwell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

De Zeeuw closes the distance and pushes Maxwell back into the cage.
De Zeeuw is looking to control Maxwell's arms but Maxwell gets an underhook and turns him. Now De Zeeuw has his back to the cage.
De Zeeuw jumps guard but Maxwell stands there with De Zeeuw around his waist. De Zeeuw gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Maxwell tries to pull guard but De Zeeuw holds him up against the cage and eventually Maxwell drops back down to his feet.
De Zeeuw tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Maxwell avoids it.

De Zeeuw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maxwell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? De Zeeuw is fending him off so far but Maxwell persists. Nope, De Zeeuw circles away and we're back to standing.

De Zeeuw rushes Maxwell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Maxwell takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

De Zeeuw lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

De Zeeuw looks to land a combination. Maxwell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Maxwell takes a head kick and keeps coming.

De Zeeuw gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Maxwell fails to pull guard.

De Zeeuw manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

De Zeeuw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Maxwell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. De Zeeuw avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Maxwell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Maxwell takes a knee to the side of the body.

Maxwell has De Zeeuw pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. De Zeeuw manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

De Zeeuw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

De Zeeuw lands a high kick!

Maxwell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Zeeuw's guard.

Maxwell drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Maxwell as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! De Zeeuw screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Maxwell! Nice submission victory there!
