Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Pych (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Linton Elm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pych comes to the cage accompanied by Pokaż. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Pych!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Linton Elm!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elm is looking to clinch but Pych is avoiding it.
Elm moves in looking to clinch but Pych pushes him off.

Elm instigates a clinch.
Pych tries to score a body lock takedown but Elm shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Pych wants the takedown. Elm is fighting it off but Pych persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Elm's guard against the cage.
Elm looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pych puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Elm is trying to get back to full guard.
Elm is looking to control Pych's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Elm avoid being mounted?
Pych tries to stand but can't do so whilst Elm controls his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pych is nestled in close to Elm, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Elm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pych. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pych prevents Elm from improving his position.

Pych stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Elm to get to his feet.
Pych changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Elm tries to avoid it but Pych manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Elm to the ground. Elm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Elm tries to clinch there but Pych circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pych.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Piotr Pych. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Elm rushes Pych and presses him up against the cage.
Pych tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Elm avoids it.
Pych has Elm pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Elm manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Elm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pych scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Elm is controlling Pych's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Pych is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pych tries to bum rush Elm with a series of wild strikes but Elm uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Elm darts in and clinches Pych up against the cage.
Elm is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Elm lands a knee to the head.
Elm landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Pych tries to score a body lock takedown but Elm shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Elm crunches a lovely knee into Pych's ribcage.
Elm lands an elbow inside that Pych shrugs off.
Elm lands a damaging elbow.
Pych takes a knee right on the jaw!
Pych takes an elbow to the forehead.

Elm's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Elm moves in looking to clinch but Pych pushes him off.
Elm tries to clinch up but Pych circles away and keeps his distance.

and Elm makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Linton Elm will probably get the nod.

Pych closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Elm is trying to improve his position.

Pych stands up.

Pych fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Elm sprawls well initially but Pych persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Elm is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Pych is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Elm wants to control but Pych is keeping busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pych thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Elm's head.

Elm wants to get back to full guard.
Elm tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Pych has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Pych get's back to his feet.

Elm wants to clinch up but Pych keeps it at a distance.
Elm is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Pych closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Elm to the mat! Elm manages to get full guard.
Pych might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pych would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Elm looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pych puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Piotr Pych dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Elm clinches with his opponent.
Pych drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Elm gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Elm lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Pych can't get the takedown.
Pych is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Elm lands a damaging elbow.
Pych has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Elm is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Pych's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Elm's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Elm is looking to clinch but Pych is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elm wants to clinch but Pych slips to the side
and Pych counters with a head kick. That will keep Elm thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Pych has Elm pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Elm manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Elm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Elm fails to land with a series of punches.
Elm is looking to clinch but Pych is avoiding it.

Elm takes the fight into the clinch.

Elm breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Elm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Elm lands in his opponent's guard.
Pych is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Elm is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Elm working some strikes from top position.
Elm lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Pych working for a triangle but Elm defends it easily.

Elm got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pych has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Elm has managed to get both his arms back between Pych's legs - danger averted.
Pych wants to get back to his feet but Elm is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pych keeping moving, preventing Elm from controlling successfully.
Pych looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Elm working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Elm tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pych swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Piotr Pych is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Elm tries to clinch

and Pych counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pych trying to control the position from guard on top but Elm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pych gets to his feet. Elm looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pych looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Elm doesn't manage to clinch there - Pych circles away.

Pych with a poor takedown

and Elm counters by clinching up.
Pych can't get the takedown.
Elm stops a takedown attempt from Pych.
Pych goes for a takedown attempt but Elm pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Elm closes the distance and pushes Pych back into the cage.
Pych has had enough of the clinch but Elm keeps him there for the moment.

Elm manages to break the clinch.
Elm throws a nice head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pych closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pych lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pych forces his way into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Linton Elm.
I think Elm has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
