The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyrrus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taylor.
Taylor shoots for a takedown but Pyrrus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pyrrus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pyrrus throws a quick inside leg kick.
Pyrrus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Taylor blocks the body kick.
Pyrrus throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Pyrrus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pyrrus swivels and escapes.
Pyrrus slaps away a takedown attempt from Taylor, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pyrrus stuffs the takedown attempt from Taylor. Taylor gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Jesse Taylor has been cut.
Crunch! Pyrrus slams his shin into Taylor's torso.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pyrrus plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Pyrrus keeps Taylor at a distance using the push kick.

Pyrrus lands a big head kick that sends Taylor tumbling to the mat! Pyrrus takes a step backwards and waves Taylor back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Taylor is rocked!
A head kick by Pyrrus - that's a beauty! Taylor is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Pyrrus can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
