Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a series of strikes that have Gomi backpedaling.
Gomi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gomi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Gomi moves away and avoids it.
Gracie scores with a body shot.
Gomi misses with a wild combination.
Gracie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie swinging wildly here.
Gomi misses with a double jab
and Gracie counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Gracie scores with a nice head shot.
Gracie tries to bum rush Gomi with a series of wild strikes but Gomi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gracie throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gomi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gracie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gomi.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gracie lands with a good body shot.
Gracie with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gomi looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Gracie throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gracie throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gomi on the side of the head.
Gracie misses with a body shot.
Gomi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gomi throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.
Gracie goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Gracie looks to land a left hand but Gomi moved out of range nicely.
Gracie misses with a wild combination.
Gracie throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gomi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Helio Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gomi's head.
Gracie throws a big shot that misses.
Gracie is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Gomi rather than just go for the knockout.
Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gomi misses with a straight left.

Gomi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gomi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gomi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gracie counters with a thumping low kick.
Gracie misses with a hook. Gomi ducked under it nicely.
Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gomi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gomi walks into a left hand.
Gomi is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Gracie has cracked Gomi with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Gracie lands another huge swinging hook and Gomi tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Gomi, before Gracie can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Helio Gracie!
