Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Louie Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachary Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Cane shows good takedown defense.
Cane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Smith counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

That was a close round but Louie Cane did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Cane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.
Smith has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Smith controls Cane momentarily but Cane frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith is trying to control the position but Cane postures up.
Cane lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Cane is fighting to break Smith's control of his arms but Smith is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Cane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.
Cane postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Smith looking for a triangle here. Cane is fighting it but it looks tight! Smith pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Cane is tapping out - this one is all over!
